About the Wooffy Guides

Wooffy is run by Mike (Kailun Zhang) and Alice (Xinyi), who started the company in 2022 around one question about their dog Tank’s crate (our story). The guides came later, in 2026.

How we make the guides

• AI-assisted, human-reviewed. The guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then reviewed by Mike before publishing.
• Illustrations, not photos. Many breed images on Wooffy are AI-generated illustrations, not photos of specific dogs.
• Costs are estimates. First-year cost figures reflect typical US price ranges. Use them as a planning starting point, not a quote. How we estimate costs →
• We’re not veterinarians. Health and nutrition pages point you to the AKC, ASPCA, VCA and, above all, your own vet. When in doubt, ask your vet.
• Local guides are checked at the source. Our Bay Area guides are checked against official park and city pages on the date shown in each guide.

How Wooffy makes money

Wooffy is a small independent company. We make money by selling our own products — the Circla dog house and its accessories. Some pages include affiliate links — for example, Amazon links to grooming tools in our grooming guides. They’re labeled where they appear, and if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Wooffy earns from qualifying purchases. We don’t sell puppies, and we don’t take money from breeders for referrals.
